Dean Russell was pleased to co-host the Watford Jobs Fair 2021 at the Watford Job Centre to see first-hand the important work that their dedicated staff are doing to provide employment support to those who require it.
The Watford Jobs Fair is a great opportunity for individuals who are receiving Universal Credit payments to be able to spend time with a wide range of great employers in order to receive support either to enter the job market or receive advice on how to upskill themselves in order to advance their career further.
Over 30 employers attended the Jobs Fair, including Tesco, Hollywood Bowl, West Midlands Trains and Warner Bros. There was also support for those looking to improve their interview skills or hoping to update their CV as they look to enter the workforce.
Dean spoke to representatives from a variety of businesses to thank them for taking the time to exhibit, speak to attendees and to match candidates to vacancies.
After the event, Dean said, “It was great to see so many employers in attendance. Whilst the event was held on a smaller scale this year in light of the pandemic, I enjoyed learning about the vacancies and how the job market has recovered well in light of the various COVID related restrictions. I wish everyone who attended every success in their search for a job.
"I would also like to thank the DWP staff who put the event together, they work so hard all year round and I was delighted to be able to thank them in person.”
