Watford MP Dean Russell visited the CrossFace Training Centre based in the NRG Gym in Watford town centre.
Run by David Lee, the centre provides a safe and relaxed environment for people to enjoy and practice Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
The facilities for training Martial Arts at Crossface Watford are fantastic. Membership includes unlimited access to the NRG Gym floors and all the equipment. The large, matted Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling area and MMA Cage offer the perfect environment for the experienced instructors to pass on their knowledge.
Speaking after the visit Dean said "It was a pleasure to meet David today and to see his fantastic facilities. It was great to hear about his passion for MMA, and the life-changing impact that it can have. David said to me that once people learn that they can fight in the ring for money, they do not want to fight on the streets for free, which is really about antisocial behaviour and kids in difficult circumstances perhaps being encouraged to join gangs. By joining a gym, they can be around other positive role models and learn that they have value in other ways, through their physique or mental capacity."
