Watford MP Dean Russell returned to Stanborough Primary School, this time to mark the launch of their Wellbeing Champions & Health Partnership, which included an exhibition of work that had been completed by the pupils to showcase their development. The launch coincided with Children’s Mental Health Week.
Stanborough Primary has introduced wellbeing champions who can be easily recognised on ‘Wellness Wednesday’ in their blue hoodies.
Speaking at the school Dean said that “Improving every child’s mental well being is paramount, and I am incredibly vocal about my desire for people to be able to speak freely and openly about their mental health and well-being.
It was fantastic to attend the official launch of the Wellbeing Champions and Health Partnership at Stanborough Primary School today. The event showcased the wonderful initiatives and developments the school have implemented in their commitment to improving every pupil’s mental health and wellbeing within the school community.
Thank you to the fantastic teachers for hosting me and the pupils who showed me everything they are learning. I look forward to returning soon.”
