Watford MP Dean Russell has welcomed the news that Watford will remain the home of the National Lottery “for years to come” with operator Allwyn confirming that it is relocating to a new site at The Clarendon Works in Clarendon Road by the spring of 2025.
100% powered by renewable energy, The Clarendon Works was selected by Allwyn for its green credentials –boasting excellent energy efficiency ratings and outstanding environmental sustainability – as well as meeting, high standards for health and wellbeing.
Importantly the new building will help Allwyn deliver on its commitments around social value and net zero and will help it deliver more money to National Lottery-funded projects by providing efficiencies to operating costs.
The new premises will provide the perfect home for Allwyn to work towards the company's overarching ambition to offer more games, attract more players, inject more excitement, create more winners, and raise more money for good causes.
Dean Russell MP said “I am delighted that Allwyn is moving to the heart of Watford, Clarendon Road is a thriving business area and Allwyn is a welcome addition. I have worked closely with Allwyn since they started operating The National Lottery, and I look forward to continuing this.”
Allwyn CEO, Andria Vidler, said: “The National Lottery and Watford go hand in hand, so we're absolutely delighted to be relocating our home to a new site in the area. This marks our commitment not only to Watford and the wonderful community here, but to our ambition to create a net zero National Lottery with more modern, sustainable head office fit for our future plans.”
Paul Eden, co-founder of Regal, said: “Allwyn’s desire to enable positive social impact through its business is one that thoroughly chimes with Regal, and we’re delighted that the team has chosen The Clarendon Works. With The Clarendon Works now merely a month from completion – and with two international brands confirmed soon to call it home and many more Watford-grown entrepreneurs and businesses having the opportunity to take flexible office space with YoooServ – we look forward to completing construction, opening the doors of the building to welcome its first generation of employees, and continuing Regal’s journey in the office development market.”
