Dean attended the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast and was joined by local Watford faith leaders Reverend George Watt and Pastor Ato Adedoyin. The main speaker was Dr Amy Orr-Ewing, who is an honorary lecturer at the University of Aberdeen School of Divinity.

The Prayer Breakfast started at 7:30am, featuring a thought-provoking programme focused on the theme of 'The Power of Forgiveness in Public Life.' Dr Amy Orr-Ewing delivered a keynote address that explored the significance of forgiveness and how the significance can be a transformative force. The event was also live streamed to ensure as many people could be involved as possible.

Following the main breakfast, a series of engaging seminars took place. The Church aims to foster dialogue and understanding between Church Leaders and MP’s in reflecting on the relevance of the Christian faith in public life. The breakfast serves as an important platform for prayer and fellowship, offering an opportunity to strengthen relationships between church leaders and MPs.

Additionally, attendees also had the option to embark on a tour of the historic Palace of Westminster. Lord Curry of Kirkharle, Chairman of the Breakfast, oversaw the proceedings.

Following the breakfast, Dean said, ‘Forgiveness has the power to transform our public life, heal divisions, and foster unity. As we gathered at the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast, we reflected on the importance of forgiveness in shaping how we live and building a more compassionate society’
