Dean Russell MP has announced that the annual Jobs Fair is to return on Friday 13th November and will take place digitally for the first time since its launch in 2011 in partnership with the Job Centre Plus.
Watford’s MP has partnered with the Job Centre Plus every year to host an annual Jobs Fair. The event is usually held on Watford High Street but given the current guidelines a decision has been made to host the popular event online.
Dean Russell said “since my election many people have been asking me when the 2020 Jobs Fair would be taking place as it has become a bit of an institution in the town. Previous fairs have been so successful because they work in the way they are supposed to - they help local people secure jobs.
It would have been fantastic if we could have run the event in person, but I’m really pleased that this year’s event will still be able to go ahead, albeit in a slightly different format.
I am delighted to be partnering with the Job Centre Plus to help local people find employment. Despite the current economic forecasts there are a number of jobs on offer in the town and surrounding areas in a variety of sectors, including care and hospitality. It is fantastic that our town is still attracting new business and creating employment opportunities.”
The event will take place from 10.30 – 12.30 on Twitter, and you can view jobs and find out how to apply by following @JCPinHerts and searching for #WatfordOnlineJobsfair.
