Dean would like to thank everyone involved in today’s remembrance services across Watford and surrounding areas.
He was fortunate to join many other local leaders including Lord Lieutenant for Hertfordshire Robert Voss, elected Mayor Peter Taylor, former Mayor Baroness Thornhill, veterans, armed forces, police, NHS staff, community and charity representatives, councillors and residents by paying respects.
The day began with a touching service at St Mary’s Church service this morning led by Reverend Tony Rindl.
Later this afternoon and before the laying of the wreaths outside the Town Hall there was a Parade also starting at St Mary’s Church. The Parade was organised by Paul Harding from the Royal British Legion. Dean would like to thank all involved including Deputy Lieutenant for Hertfordshire Luther Blissett OBE and Lauren Fox along with Watford Royal British Legion, volunteers and the staff at Watford Borough Council for ensuring this important day went perfectly and allowed our town to respectfully remember those who sacrificed so much for our freedoms.
