Dean Russell MP returned to the Rennie Grove Peace Hospice in Watford for their annual outpatients Christmas party, celebrating a festive occasion for both staff and patients. Dean has made a number of visits to the hospice throughout the year, and always enjoys spending time with the dedicated staff and patients. Dean is always moved by the compassionate care provided by the staff and the supportive environment they create for patients during challenging times.
A highlight of the event was presenting certificates to some of Peace Hospice's loyal volunteers, acknowledging their long and valuable service.
Reflecting on the visit, Dean said, "I was pleased to return to the Rennie Grove Peace Hospice, especially during the festive season. Having spent time with both staff and patients earlier in the year, it was great to join the Christmas celebrations and witness the positive impact the hospice has on the lives of the patients.
I had the absolute pleasure of recognising the commitment of the volunteers by presenting them with long-service certificates which were awarded as a token of appreciation for their dedication to the charity. "
The Rennie Grove Peace Hospice said, “It was great to welcome Dean back to Peace Hospice for our annual outpatients Christmas party. During a visit earlier in the year Dean was able to spend time with staff and patients in a number of different outpatient services so it was great that he could come back and mark the festive season with them.
Following the party Dean was able to present some of our loyal volunteers with certificates marking their long service. As a charity we have over 1,600 volunteers and we couldn’t deliver our services to patients without them. Long-service recognition is a way for us to highlight and thank volunteers for their dedication, and it was wonderful to have Dean there on the day to join us in congratulating them all.”
