Last week I had the opportunity to join Watford Police officers on a dawn raid as part of a wider operation to take down serious organised crime.
This is the second dawn raid I have taken part in and once again I saw the police at their best, with detailed and complex detective work combined with front line policing to ensure our community is safe. Whilst the experience was intense in both instances, the professionalism and preparation of the police ensured the process was safe. We were ultimately going into potentially dangerous and unknown situations which are yet another reminder of the danger the police put themselves in everyday to keep us all safe.
Serious and organised crime has a profound and lasting impact on not just the victims, but the wider community.
So once again, I thank all the officers involved and will always support the police in their continued role in tackling crime to keep us all safe.
If you suspect, or know of, any illegal activity in the local area, I strongly advise you report any intelligence to the police, either via 101 or online if it is not urgent, or 999 if it is an emergency. You can also share details anonymously via the OWL app (Online Watch Link): shorturl.at/iklz7
