Watford MP Dean Russell welcomed Nigel Huddleston MP, Minister for Sport, Tourism, Heritage, Civil Society and Youth, to Leavesden for a tour of the world-famous Harry Potter studios.
Dean and the Minister were shown the Great Hall set and the Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 ¾. They also visited the newly expanded Privet Drive set Gringotts Bank, Diagon Alley with the visit ending at the iconic Hogwarts Castle Model.
Following the visit Dean said “I was delighted to show the Minister around the Harry Potter Studio Tour. It was great to learn that the number of international visitors is gradually returning to pre-pandemic levels, providing a boost to the local economy.
"The studios are a major local employer, so it was really important to me that the Minister came to meet with the staff to hear about the challenges that they face, and to also see how fantastic they are at running such an iconic attraction. Harry Potter is now synonymous with Watford and I am delighted that it attracts so many people to our town.”
