Dean Russell attended a DWP Self-Employment ‘Mingle and Network’ event at the Job Centre on St Albans Road in Watford.
The event was organised by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to give an opportunity to self employed people to network with others in Watford and share tips and best practice as their start to grow their new businesses.
While he was there, Dean met several of the individuals who were attending the event to discuss with them their ambitions and to learn more about their new enterprises. He also gave a speech to the attendees about the benefits of self-employment and encouraged them to persevere as they worked hard to achieve their objectives. This was followed by the attendees asking a series of questions to Dean to gain some of the knowledge he acquired from when he started his own businesses.
After attending the event, Dean said: “I really enjoyed having the opportunity to speak to this great group of enthusiastic entrepreneurs. Self employed individuals are so important to our country as they take risks to be innovative and I wish them all of them every success as they start this journey.”
