Dean had a two-hour meeting with the Chief Inspector of policing in Watford, CI Matt Phillips. They discussed the existing challenges facing the police in reducing crime in Watford and Hertfordshire more broadly. A strong advocate for increased police levels and more police powers, Dean and CI Phillips creatively explored pathways to making Watford an ever safer place to live, work and enjoy. Dean has also met several times with the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire Constabulary, David Lloyd. Together they shared ideas on the practical steps that can be taken to ensure the worst offenders spend longer in prison, victims are better supporters and how rehabilitation can become more successful.
