Watford based funeral directors M. K. Ginder & Sons were invited to 10 Downing Street having been nominated by local MP Dean Russell as a ‘Local Business Champion.’
Founded in September 1983 by Martyn Ginder, the business is now run by father and son duo Adam and Daniel Ginder. The event at Number 10 was hosted by the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of local businesses from across the UK.
M. K. Ginder & Sons has always supported a number of local charities and local organisations. They have been business partners of Watford Football Club for over twenty years, supporters of Peace Hospice Care for over a decade, and sponsors of Fullerians Rugby Club for eight seasons, as well as helping smaller groups and individuals with their causes. They have been the main sponsors of the Abbots Langley Tough Ten for over 20 years and the Abbots Langley Carnival for over 25 years.
Following the event Dean Russell MP stated, "I was thrilled to nominate M. K. Ginder & Sons to attend the Business Champions Reception. Their support for local charities and organisations demonstrates their commitment to our community. Their long-standing support for events across Watford and the Surrounding Areas has made a lasting impact. I was delighted to proudly introduce them to the Chancellor as a brilliant local Watford business.”
Managing Director, Adam K Ginder commented, “We are honoured and privileged to be recognised in this way. Throughout our 40 years of serving our local community we have been delighted to work with so many worthy and wonderful organisations.”
